“We think like a rodent and understand what a rodent likes. We’ve researched different flavours, different textures; wheat bait, gel bait, block bait, with different shapes to encourage gnawing. Different bait boxes to provide the ideal feeding environment. It’s all about out-thinking rodents, and our competitors.”
Foraging Grain Technology
Extensive foraging grain research has established the key factors responsible for the greater appeal of foods containing them.
This, in turn, has led to the development of a patented technology – Fortec – which significantly improves rodenticide consumption by making the most of foraging grains to produce a more appealing and arresting mixed bait.
The key to doing so lies in making the added grains sufficiently different from the bulk of the bait in size, shape, colour, smell, taste and texture.
Important too, it has been found, is the level at which the grains are included in the bait and their subtly of their flavour.
While traditional baits of a uniform consistency rely upon the manipulation of taste and smell to stimulate consumption, the new technology works by appealing more completely to all the rodent senses involved in natural feeding behaviour.
